Iomega announced (“Iomega offers a new ultra-slim USB Zip 250MB drive with dual USB/PCMCIA interface“) their new slim Zip 250MB drive in a USB flavor today.
Iomega Corporation today announced a new Zip 250MB Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive for both PC and Mac users.At one inch thick and weighing just under a pound, the new slim and light Zip 250MB USB drive, which can be fit into a pocket eliminates the need for larger parallel port or SCSI conversion cables. The new Zip drive is compatible with the company’s 100MB disks. The new Zip 250MB USB drive is compatible with computers running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or MacOs 8.1 or above, and provides hot “plug and play” (except when running Windows NT 4.0).
This new slim Zip 250MB USB drive will ship at the end of Q3 1999 in the United States and Japan and will retail for US$180.
