Judge Issues Injunction to Block Sale of iMac Clones

From Yahoo Biznews:

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 8 (Reuters) – A U.S. District Court Judge said heplans to issue an injunction to block the sale of a line of personalcomputers that are similar in design to Apple Computer Inc.’s(NasdaqNM:AAPL – news) iMac, as part of Apple’s lawsuit against FuturePower and Daewoo Group.

Judge Jeremy Fogel, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose, Calif., issued an order late Friday afternoon, stating his intention to grant Apple’s motion for a preliminary injunction against Future Power and Daewoo, from distributing and selling the E-Power PC.

This injunction sends a message to Future Power, Daewoo Group and any other computer manufacturers that blatant copying will not be tolerated in America. It’s a shame that other computer companies cannot innovate and come up with their own design and color schemes instead of following in Apple’s footsteps.
