Just How Hot is Hot?: Testing the PowerBook 12"

Masato Ogawa points to a ZDNet Japan story (in Japanese) with measurements of temperature on the new PowerBook 12″, in Celcius under different conditions. There are additional “laptop” test results running LAME compression. Masato writes: “We need an objective discussion. “Very hot” means different [things to different people].” Clearly, “damn hot” versus “hot” is not the beginning of an objective discussion, and my other question is at what point heat might affect system performance, and at what point it just becomes uncomfortable to use on your lap. Hot-running laptops are nothing new, but nonetheless, keep posting your experiences.
