AppleInsider reports on the rumours of three different configurations for Apple’s next revision of the iMac. A short-neck CRT, injection DVD drive (like in car CD players), FireWire, improved speakers, and RGB video-out are some of the new features said to be in the new configurations to ship October 5th.
Is Apple backing off from the simplified product line strategy by offering three different configurations in addition to different colors? Or has the Apple Store strategy of three different levels of desktop systems simply being applied to the iMac? And will Apple finally replace the hockey puck mouse with something more comfortable to use? Sound off in the NoBeige Message Boards.
