It’s a leak.
But it’s a pretty specific leak.
A series of 3D CAD images from @OnLeaks show that Apple’s upcoming iPad mini 4 tablet might be as thin as the current iPad Air 2, boasting a revised thickness of 6.1mm. A leaked video supports this claim as well.
The leak ties into what the oft-reliable Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities said about how the iPad mini 4 would essentially be a smaller version of the iPad Air 2, stating that it would also get updated specs. It’s been suggested that these might include the same 8MP rear-facing camera and fully-laminated display with anti-glare coating as the Air 2.
Only time will tell, but this could be pretty nifty should it come true.
