Additional material has leaked about the iPhone 6, in this case a rendered image of a protruding main camera, which matches a feature seen on dummy units of the upcoming handset.
Per GforGames and Taiwanese web site Apple Club, a leaked screenshot depicts some of the iPhone 6′s characteristics for the smaller, 4.7-inch model. Specifically, this leaked schematic suggests that the upcoming Apple flagship phone will have a 0.67 – 0.77 mm protruding camera.
This could stand as Apple striving to create a thinner iPhone while allowing for a slight – and necessary – protrusion, as the iPhone 6 is rumored to have a 7 millimeter width.
Some might also argue that this choice in design doesn’t hold true to Apple’s standards, and that this is just the lazy way out of a difficult situation.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
