I inadvertently discovered that I can plug my Canon A20 into the USB port and Mac OS X will download the pictures and offer the opportunity to automaticaly create a Web gallery. No need to use the Canon software. Image Capture is supplied with OS X.

The AppleScript files that Apple uses to create the Web gallery can be modified so that the picture size can be customized. Drag a photo onto its icon and the AppleScript will create a Web gallery from all of the picts in that folder.

[The script is located in: Library/Image Capture/Scripts/Build a web page -Ed]
