SIPphone, the free Internet phone service started by MP3.com and Lindows founder, Michael Robertson, today announced that it has added support for Mac OS X. Available immediately, Mac users can download a free Xten 2.0 softphone for Mac that will automatically configure with the service. SIPphone offers a standards-based SIP service, free dialtone, free voicemail to email, free conference calling, free five minutes of International calling daily, and very cheap per minute calls to the PSTN (traditional) phone network. Users can also get a virtual number in the US or UK for receiving calls from the traditional phone network for under $3/month. Download the free Mac OS X client.
