Macromedia Studio MX hits OS X

The pace of OS X development is finally starting to kick into high gear. This week Macromedia announced Studio MX, with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, Macromedia Flash MX, Macromedia Fireworks MX, Macromedia FreeHand 10, and a developer edition of Macromedia ColdFusion MX. The studio, with introductory pricing of US$799, is expected to ship in May, but you can have fun right away. Preview versions of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and ColdFusion are available with (free) registration, and Flash is available as a trial. (Anyone know where a trial/preview of FreeHand is? Click that feedback link and let us know.)

Are you going Macromedia or holding out for Adobe? Will OS 9-specific plug-ins force you to boot into 9 or Classic? And if anyone wants to post a review to the Newswire, don’t be shy.
