MacWorld Tokyo 2003 Cancelled

PCWorld UK and Mac NN report that Macworld Converence and Expo has been cancelled, “following a decision by Apple — and subsequently by other key vendors — not to exhibit.” An unidentified IDG spokeswoman tells MacUser that, eerily like Apple’s decision to boycott Boston Macworlds, IDG was unable to convince Apple to reconsider. Apparently Adobe, Macromedia, and Microsoft pulled out after Apple’s decision. No public announcement has been made, curiously, because IDG says the show itself had not been officially announced. (Wrap your heads around that one!)
