Contrary to popular belief, PowerBook batteries have a finite lifespan that is usually in the area of 2-3 years. Newer Lithium Ion batteries for the PowerBook G4 should last longer, but again, batteries will only hold a charge for certain amount of charge/discharge cycles.
A number of readers have written about problems finding original Apple batteries for the Wallstreet line of PowerBook G3 batteries and Madsonline has come to the rescue. They have new, Apple-branded WallStreet batteries for sale again at US$150 and they won’t be getting any more after current stock runs out.
