Mobilian Combines 802.11 and Bluetooth Technologies


Mobilian’s TrueRadio technology combines Bluetooth and 802.11b on a single card. According to a Red Herring article (“Networking euphora is in the air,” 15 July 2001) the new card will allow users to be “connected to a corporate network while listening to a Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player.”Mobilian has secured US$60 million in private financing according to Red Herring. TrueRadio technology consists of one analog and one digital chip and is slated to ship this fall.
