An article on XLR8YourMac.com cited a report that the new 17-Inch PowerBook G4 may have the Nvidia GeForce4 440 Go Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) on a separate module which could potentially make it upgradeable. The PowerPage has learned that the 17-Inch PB GPU is not on a module and is soldered onto the logic board – making it non-upgradeable. No word on whether the 12-Inch PowerBook G4’s GeForce4 420 Go is on a module, but we doubt it.
