OS X AOL Won't be Localized for Great Britain

ON24 Network reports that AOL plans to cancel its Great Britain-localized software for OS X. The story is in RealAudio format and is available at http://biz.yahoo.com/oo/011121/67060.html.

[Correction: The original release of this story, which quoted Yahoo’s headline, “AOL division kills plans to support Apple’s Mac OS X ” incorrectly gave the impression that AOL for OS X was cancelled entirely. To the contrary, AOL still plans to release an OS X version “by the end of the year.” ON24 speculates that UK users will be able to install the non-localized US-English version of AOL for X. Thanks to various readers for this correction. -PK, Ed.]
