Pismo Set to Take the Stage in Japan

I just returned from the show floor: Apple’s booth is all set up with the notable exception of the PowerBook section. The individual PowerBooks are draped in cloth leading me to believe that a Pismo announcement is imminent.

A source I spoke to over sushi last night confirmed that the machine is golden master and ready to ship in 2-3 configurations: probably 400, 450 and 500 MHz. The major addition in the new professional PowerBook is the addition of a single bus dual FireWire ports.
