Podcast Enters the Vernacular, Startups Get Funded

The word ‘Podcast’ was added to the Oxford Dictionary and is now officially part of English language. Definition:

“Podcast” (a digital recording of a radio broadcast or similar programme, made available on the Internet for downloading to a personal audio player) is now an official part of the English language, as the word has been included in the Oxford Dictionary.

In related news Adam Curry?s PodShow received $8.85 million in venture capital and Evan Williams? Odeo received an unspecified investment from Charles River Ventures, Amicus Ventures, and 14 individual investors.
