Can anyone tell me if Nokia’s new hybrid PDA/Phone work with Apple’s new iSync software? From what I understand it should theoritcally work with any SyncML compatible phone (Nokia 7650, Sony Ericsson T68i T68, T39, R520).

Ed.: Raj, as a magic 8 ball would say, “outlook is unclear.” Officially, Apple is saying only Ericsson phones are supported by iSync — their iSync site points to the T68i/T68 (which would include the T68m being marketed by VoiceStream and UK providers, among others), as well as the T39 and R520. Because this remains an unreleased product, there’s no other information available and the Knowledge Base doesn’t yet cover compatibility. Since Apple is partnering with Cingular, if Cingular offers other equipment Apple may move to support it. And stay tuned — just as avid users created their own software support for Ericsson before Apple came along, you may see some OS X developers fill the gap. -PK

[Update 11/08/2002] Amazon.com is selling the Sony Ericsson T68i color, Bluetooth mobile phone for only US$50 for a limited time.
