Review: Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer

Microsoft has always had good mice, but this years model is even better. The MS Intellimouse Explorer is one sweet mouse. A cool, sleek, silvery metallic scroll-wheel mouse with an advanced optical tracking system which is incredibly smooth and nice to handle. Now for the drawback: it requires USB for Macs, so if you don’t have it, you’re out of luck. It also appears that, for now anyways, the drivers don’t ship with the box and you must download them off the Microsoft website. The best fun with this mouse was being able to use it over your own body, since it does not require a mousepad. This is a great mouse, and much better than the crappy hockey puck that Apple ships with its new systems.

Mac System Requirements
? Macintosh OS 8.51 or later operating systems, iMac also requires iMac update 1.1
? 15 MB of available hard-disk space
? USB port
? IntelliPoint for Macintosh software
