C|Net is reporting “Microsoft acknowledged on Tuesday that its popular Office applications for the Macintosh have a critical security flaw that leaves users’ systems open to attack by worms and online vandals… The flaw affects all Office programs but is only considered a critical issue on Internet Explorer for Mac OS 8, 9 and X, Outlook Express 5.0.2 and Entourage 2001 and v. X. “
If you use any of the above Microsoft applications it is imperative that you immediately download and install:
- Internet Explorer 5.1 Security Update v.5.1.4 – via software update
- Microsoft Office v. X Combined Updater 10.0.3
