The BackOffice from Shaun Jackson Design has long been one of my favorite PowerBook bags; just read my original review from January 2002. Unfortunately, I had to part with this terrific luggage when I upgraded to the PowerBook G4 17″, which so far has been short on padded bags. Now, the wait is over, and Shaun Jackson has shipped the “BIG” BackOffice.

The new 15.75″x12″x2″ computer compartment will easily accommodate the PowerBook G4 17,” and incorporates the same design as the original BackOffice. Like the first bag, you can run your PowerBook on your lap with the case unfolding to hold your machine (and keep it and your lap cool), with compartments holding accessories, pens, and the like nearby. Or, if you’re like me and more rarely run your laptop in the case, the folding compartments are perfectly proportioned for a typical mix of papers, magazines, and gear, easily keeping your AC adapter, digital camera, PDA, and everything organized. The bag is in stock now and sells for US$159.95.
