SJ and his "Dell"

If you got in a tizzy about our beloved SJ using a Dell at Pixar, you can relax. You don’t have to worry about Steve slipping over to the dark side any time soon, his Dell runs NeXT.

If you got in a tizzy about our beloved SJ using a Dell at Pixar, you can relax. You don’t have to worry about Steve slipping over to the dark side any time soon, his Dell runs NeXT.

Now why does it matter, since he really lives in a world of Apple, if he wants to maybe take his mind off of work and run NeXT on a cheap PC box? I mean it?s a piece of his history and of ours (Mac Users.) I salute him for holding true to that, and to NeXT. I just don’t think it should even matter if he has a PC or not or even which OS it runs, just like nobody cares that (or if) I own a PC.

I also don’t feel its fair to always put a spotlight on SJ when really he is just doing his job which in itself must be stressful since he works so hard at it and is involved in a lot of things at Apple personally (that other CEO’s did not nor need not involve themselves in). So when he comes home and sits down at his Mac OR PC and reads Go2mac, just to feel like an average guy again, he finds an article that “reports” (as if it were some crime) that he uses a PC which must just make his life all that more stressful.

Maybe someone should just write a brief article thanking him for his hard work, effort, talent, love for Apple Computer, and most of all his ability to breathe live into a very large company and give it such a personal touch that just one small symbol can mean so much to each and every one of us.
