Another reader report on 3rd-party Airport compatibility from Rob McKeever: “Perhaps your should mention the open source project that is being run by myself and others that has produced a working PCMCIA driver that does work with OS X 10.1 and cards from Lucent/Orinoco/Agere, Farallon, Bay Networks, Cisco, Cabletron and others.

Precompiled beta copies of the driver can be obtained from my iDisk [robm@mac.com] and the source is available, for anyone wanting to assist, from the CVS archives on SourceForge under the project name wirelessdriver.
