PBZone: According to a reader who wrote into Accelerate Your Mac, the new iBooks that come with 700 MHz Sahara G3 processors can actually be bumped to a whopping 800 MHz via software, no soldering needed! While the long term effects are unknown, it appears that the immediate side effects are mutual. For full instructions and more information on this clever hack, check out this page at Accelerate Your Macintosh.

MOSR: one of MOSR’s contributing authors has been able to upclock his brand new iBook 700MHz to 850MHz stably, and even got 900MHz to boot a couple of times. Way cool!
