PBZone: According to a reader who wrote into Accelerate Your Mac, the new iBooks that come with 700 MHz Sahara G3 processors can actually be bumped to a whopping 800 MHz via software, no soldering needed! While the long term effects are unknown, it appears that the immediate side effects are mutual. MOSR: one of MOSR’s contributing authors has been able to upclock his brand new iBook 700MHz to 850MHz stably, and even got 900MHz to boot a couple of times. Way cool!
