The Ultimate iPod Accessory

It was bound to happen.

Since the iPod is so cool that even PC makers are selling it, it should come as no surprise that companies have started using the iPod in their ads to promote their own coolness.

Honda is pushing hard to make their new SUV, Element, the preferred car of the young and chic. It looks different, has a detachable moonroof, and is designed to withstand the awful daily abuses from beach sand and wet suits (sarcasm intended, I am in Vermont).

In light of the intended audience, it comes as no surprise that the company has made sure that you can connect your iPod directly to the car’s audio system. They have even made a video about it. They may call it a “standard MP3 digital-media auxilliary jack”, but we know what it means: An iPod accessory on wheels!

Ed: Clearly, as an iPod accessory, Honda needs to send me a complimentary Element “for review” by the PowerPage. Think they’ll cover monthly parking in Manhattan, too? -PK
