Verizon Mobile Office and the Mac

I don’t know how many of you have explored Verizon as a wireless provider, but I have just started using it and it works great. I hadn’t done much research, because they claim to only support certain Windows environments. However, last week I stumbled upon a Web site by John Chang that describes in detail how to make it work for Macs.

It is very simple and he has even started a tech support forum for the little quirks. The data rate is only 14.4, but it uses your package minutes instead of charging for bandwidth (no fine print like Sprint).

The Verizon Mobile Office service comes packaged with every Verizon plan and is available in any of their digital networks. If you are economic about usage, it works great. Plus, you use the Verizon network as an ISP, although you can use your own ISP which some claim to be more reliable. Good luck and stay geek.
