OmniDiskSweeper is a Mac OS X utility for quickly finding and deleting big, useless files and thus making space on your hard disks. OmniDiskSweeper makes this easy by highlighting the biggest files on your disks, and by noting which files are used by the system, so you don’t accidentally delete important files. OmniDiskSweeper is free, but will cost US$15 to enable its “neat-o, incredibly high-tech “delete” button.”
If you’ve ever wondered were all your disk space has gone, Disk Inventory X will help you to answer this question a little easier. Disk Inventory X is a free disk usage utility for Mac OS X that shows the sizes of files and folders in a special graphical way called treemaps. Treemaps provide a quick and easy way to visually tell which files are clogging up you hard drive whereas, OmniDiskSweeper only displays the files in order of size. Both are extremely helpful but I recommend DiskInventoryX for its superior graphical map.
