Wireless Internet Slowly Rolling Out


Cell phone service providers in the US have been slowly introducing data services to there systems. Omnipoint, because they use GSM, have long been able to offer data capabilities on their phones, while recently Sprint’s Wireless Web has been heavily promoted. Bell Atlantic Mobile, which has been offering their AirBridge wireless data service, has announced that they are introducing this week the capability to access the Internet with just a mobile phone such as the QualComm. Meanwhile, Nextel is planning to roll out their wireless Internet service in early 2000.
