Now that Palm Computing is making Think Different-inspired clear Palm IIIs, maybe services such as AvantGo.com will be inspired to Think Different and begin development for Mac compatibility. Until then, Mac developers are invited to rise to the challenge and use the source code to develop a solution. AvantGo.com offers users the ability to download selected Web sites to their Palm devices when they sync with their computers. A reader offers this explanation for the incompatibility:
Unfortunately the service does not work on Macs because the computer-side software, MobileLink, has yet to be ported. If it was, Mac users would be able to take advantage of this great service as well.
