The 10.1 install CD which I used (not the update CD) has an updated Disk Utility with enhanced partitioning tools… and supports RAID 1 and 0 (stripe and mirror).

For those of you who haven’t discovered already: Apple VASTLY underestimated demand for 10.1 “Instant Update” CDs. Most readers who didn’t hit the store at 9a were plain out of luck. Salvation, though, can be described in two words: “master CD.”

Reader report: I received my copy of 10.1 after the Apple Keynote at Seybold SF on Tuesday morning. Got home to Minneapolis and upgraded to it on my Dual 800Mhz G4 and it rocks!
