We’ve been around this rumor before, but it seems to be picking up steam again.
A new report says that a fourth-generation Apple TV, App Store and all the trimmings will arrive in September. The new Apple TV will be unveiled along with the latest iPhones, and sport Appleās A8 chip along with a slimmer look.
The new Apple TV will reportedly feature a control with a touchpad input, and feature Siri on board.

ScStan LLC’s YourMoji allows users to create and edit emojis and stickers directly from your iOS device.
Once created, the emojis can be sent via any social media and messaging app, including iMessage, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter.

If you’re feeling brave of heart, the new public beta of OS X El Capitan has been released and is ready for you to download and play with.
Apple on Wednesday seeded the third beta of OS X El Capitan to public beta testers, one week after seeding the second beta and just under three weeks after first providing the OS X El Capitan beta to the public for testing purposes.
The third public beta, which features no outward-facing changes, is thought to be an under-the-hood update with bug fixes and performance improvements.

A nifty thing just got a hefty upgrade.
The Google Translate app, which previously allowed you to visually translate printed text in seven languages, has now been updated to 20 more languages, for a total of 27. The app also allows for real-time voice translations with greater fluidity.
The app now supports English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish and users can now translate to and from English and Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Filipino, Finnish, Hungarian, Indonesian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.

This is pretty interesting.
Yahoo has released its LiveText app, an app that streams video without audio and allows you to send text, icons and emoji. The thought behind this is that the expressiveness of the video makes the conversation more authentic and adds to the nuances that may be missing from a standard text-based conversation via a device.

It’s not a huge update, but if could help out if the camera on your new 2015 Apple notebook is being a bit weird.
On Wednesday, Apple has released a FaceTime Camera Driver Update for all 2015 MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro notebooks that improves FaceTime camera compatibility with Windows.

This is one of the cooler old-school projects out there.
And it seems to have worked.
Apparently, Reddit and imgur user “wowbobwow” was able to get Mac OS 6.0.1 running on an Amiga 500 computer. This was achieved by using an emulator called “A-Max” that allowed Mac ROM chips to be run on the Amiga.

If you thought your NAND Flash-based solid state drive was fast, this will blow you away.
Intel and Micron announced 3D XPoint memory on Tuesday. The project looks into a joint endeavor into non-volatile memory technology the companies claim is the first major breakthrough in the space since the introduction of NAND flash in 1989.
3D XPoint is said to be up to 1,000 times faster than NAND with up to 1,000 times greater endurance, while packing in 10 times the density of conventional DRAM components.

Apple Pay has just hit the “international” category.
Apple updated its Apple Pay web site, announcing support for both UK banks HSBC and First Direct. Both banks were announced as starting partners for the UK branch of Apple Pay, but were delayed until late July at the last minute.

The “iPhone 6c” may never come to pass.
A new industry report from Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri, revealed in a recent note to investors that he can no longer find evidence that Apple is working on such a device for 2015.
The note has Arcuri nixing the idea of the smaller handset so as not to cannibalize sales of refreshed 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models widely expected to launch this fall.
