Rumor: APIs, early access program, points to $5/month subscription fee for Apple Arcade

Apple employees have, as expected, been granted early access to Apple Arcade this summer. A leak from the APIs suggests that the launch price will be $4.99 per month.

Employees taking place in the Apple Arcade early access program are apparently charged $0.49 with a one-month free trial. The program is thought to be ending upon the release of iOS 13 to the public. Apple is also rumored to be launching the next-gen iPhone with a September 10th keynote. The keynote is expected to launch services like Apple Arcade and Apple TV+.

Per the article:

“Today, I was able to get information about the price of an Apple Arcade subscription to customers. This information is available in one of the APIs used by the App Store app. According to a promotional message found in the service, the price for Apple Arcade will be $4.99 / month, including a one-month free trial. As Apple previously announced, the service will allow access to all members in a Family Sharing account.”

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
