Apple announces “One more thing” virtual event for November 10th, raises speculation of Apple Silicon hardware to be released before the end of 2020

If you miss hearing Steve Jobs mention “One more thing” at the end of a Macworld Expo keynote, this might be what you’re looking for.

Apple sent out a virtual invite on Monday to its “One more thing” event, which has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time.

While the invitation provides very few details, it’s thought that Apple CEO will be unveiling Macs with Apple’s new Apple Silicon processors, which he stated were scheduled to ship before the end of 2020. The event will be held virtually, like the last several have been, and will likely be prerecorded at various locations inside Apple Park.

Apple’s recent special events introduced the iPad Air 4, the 10.2-inch iPad, the Apple Watch Series 6, the Apple Watch SE, and the HomePod mini.

Current speculation points to a form of MacBook Pro, possibly a refined version of the 13-inch MacBook Pro. There has been some suggestion of multiple MacBook models, as well as a MacBook Air, while a 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro using the technology may wait until 2021.

It’s also thought that Apple could unveil macOS Big Sur, which is designed to work on both Intel-based and Apple Silicon-based Macs and MacBooks. Other potential releases include AirTags as well as AirPods Studio, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Pro Lite earbuds, which have surfaced in the rumor mill of late.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
