Apple discontinues 2015 MacBook Pro, places remaining inventory at clearance pricing

It’s out with the old, even if the old thing is a seriously nice piece of hardware.

Apple has just officially discontinued the 2015 MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 2 and MagSafe 2 ports, meaning you’d better get your posterior in gear if you’d like one. The model has been replaced by the brand new Touch Bar MacBook Pro with up to 32 GB RAM.

The 2015 model was still popular with at least some Mac buyers because it included two Thunderbolt 2 ports, two USB 3 ports, a full-size HDMI out port, an SDXC card slot, a MagSafe 2 charging port, and a reliable keyboard. With it out of the lineup, all MacBook Pro models ship with Thunderbolt 3.

The notebook can be snagged over at Apple’s clearance web site and can be purchased at a discounted price.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
