Apple launches Apple One services bundle, outlines account tiers

Alongside its quarterly earnings release, Apple announced that its long-awaited Apple One service bundle will launch today. Apple One combines Apple Music, iCloud, Apple Arcade and Apple TV+ at a discounted price for individuals and families. For $30 a month, the top tier plan Apple One Premier includes 2 TB of iCloud and Apple News+. It will also include access to Fitness+, Apple’s upcoming workout videos service that will debut before the end of the year.

Apple One Individual accounts are priced at $14.95 per month and arrive with 50 GB if iCloud space, Apple Music for a single account, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade.

Users can choose the Apple One Family plan, which is priced at $19.95 per month, and arrives with 200 GB if iCloud disk space, Apple Music for up to six family members with Family Sharing, and Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade access. Apple One Premier accounts retail for $30 per month and feature 2 TB of iCloud disk space, Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+.

Apple Fitness+ will offer new workout classes on a daily basis, and will be integrated with the Apple Watch workout app. Fitness+ won’t launch with the bundle, but is expected to arrive before the end of the year. All of these services individually would cost $55 per month, so the Premier plan represents a near 50 percent discount. While Apple One Individual and Apple One Family accounts will launch in more than 100 countries, Apple One Premier will only be offered in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, where Apple News+ is available.

Apple’s iOS 14.1 update will automatically offer the Apple One bundle options to customers.

Finally, Apple has said that customers can top up their iCloud storage with add-on purchases, which will allow a single Apple ID account to access more than 2 TB of iCloud disk space.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
