Apple Maps transit directions begin to surface for European users

If you’re heading over to Europe, this should come in handy.

Apple Maps transit directions have begun to appear in the app for European users in countries such as France, Ireland, and Norway.

This feature means that Apple Maps users will be able to see transit routes for multiple types of public transport, like trains, buses, trams, and others. Departure times for each type is also available.

Apple has posted a web site listing the European nations that support Apple Maps transit. The list currently includes Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

If you’re on the other side of the pond and have a chance to try this feature out, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
