Apple releases macOS Mojave 10.14.5 Boot Camp Update, addresses issues pertaining to Mac Mini, iMac units with Fusion Drives

If you have an iMac or a Mac mini with a Fusion Drive, this is going to come in handy.

Apple recently released its macOS Mojave 10.14.5 Boot Camp Update, a small, supplemental update designed for iMac and Mac mini users with Fusion Drive installs.

The update, which operates as a fix to Boot Camp, allows Boot Camp to create a hard drive partition to run Windows. The fix repairs a bug that prevented the creation of a new Boot Camp partition on iMac and Mac mini with a Fusion Drive.

The update can be downloaded from Apple’s support page, and not through the regular update channel in System Preferences because it’s only for iMac and Mac mini users.

If you’ve had a chance to try the update and have any feedback to offer, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
