Apple to sign electric car partnership deal with Hyundai by March, could begin working “beta version” of Apple Car next year

Something pretty cool may be happening with the Apple Car project.

Per Reuters, Apple and Hyundai will sign a deal to partner on autonomous vehicles by March. Full production is set to begin in 2024.

This period could also allow for a “beta version” of the Apple Car as early as next year. The unit is set apparently set to be built at a Kia Motors factory in Georgia, and Kia functions as an affiliate of Hyundai.

Alternatively, Apple and Hyundai may jointly invest in a new plant. They intend to produce 100,000 vehicles in 2024, with a full annual capacity for the plant at 400,000. Neither company confirmed the latest reports. On Friday, news surfaced that the two companies were ‘in discussions’ about collaborating on electric vehicles.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
