I was backing up the data on my PowerBook 15-Inch for an eventual move to a new PBG4 17-Inch if and when they begin trickling out in mid-March. That said, I have been backing up and archiving everything on my machine, data, photos, tunes, etc. But what about Microsoft Entourage? I need a way to archive it. It holds all of my email, contacts and calendar in one handy database and is probably the most important piece of data on my PowerBook.

I was looking for an easy way to archive all Entourage email that is older than six months, for example. That’s where SoftThing’s Entourage Email Archive X (EEA X) comes in. The US$20 Entourage script is used for “archiving emails and attachments you have received or sent using Microsoft Entourage X in Mac OS X. EEA X can archive your email in three different ways:
- Archive email and/or attachments in the Finder
- Export or append email in a text file
- Export or append email in tab-text format”
Highly recommended!
