As if Apple-heads needed another reason to steer clear of Windoze, Microsoft Windows 2000 is being released February 17th, 2000…with 63,000 known “issues.”
Microsoft insists that the incredible number of bugs are a direct result of increased pre-release testing. We’re not so sure. We’re also not alone–many retailers are warning against rushing out and installing Win2000 on machines the day it is released. Many businesses already enslaved to Windows 98 are taking the “wait and see” approach before they sign away their soul again.
If you’re planning on going to the Microsoft Windows2000 launch party on February 17 at Philadelphia’s First Union Center, bring your bug spray. As for us, if we want bugs, we’ll stick with Bugdom.
