In what will be excellent news to PowerBook 2400 owners, the PowerPage has confirmed our story from 27 May that Apple did indeed ship the original 180 MHz with CardBus on the motherboard, but they disabled it just before shipping. The bad news is that enabling CardBus on the domestic 180 MHz requires a hardware hack (yes, that means soldering) and yes, it will void your warranty.
