Almost two years later Apple has filed for a patent which hints that a satellite radio accessory for the iPod may become a reality.

Apple yesterday announced preliminary financial results for its fiscal 2006 fourth quarter ended September 30, 2006. They also noted that the preliminary results may be subject to “significant adjustment” as a result of a likely restatement of historical results.
It’s no secret that Apple is considering jumping into the mobile phone business (at least by their trademark filings, anyway) but before doing so, I hope that the company is paying attention to the recent death of ESPN Mobile.
After Friday’s launch of the (PRODUCT) RED iPod nano to benefit The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, there are some rumblings that Apple may extend the program to include other products as well.
Last Monday I reported that it was possible to adjust the speed of the MacBook Pro’s fans via the command line. The hack involves modifying the plist files in AppleBlower.ktext and AppleFan.ktext. Essentially editing the speed values for both fans so they kick on a little sooner and run a bit faster.
