It has now been two years since a press release from Alsoft about anything and particular DiskWarrior. Their site says it will be out soon but that has been there for about as long.
Alsoft promised that DW3 would be ready for Macworld Expo SF03 but they are in fact selling a previous version, awaiting fixes for small problems that affect the speed of the program. Now they are talking about a February release.
The new version runs natively in Mac OS X but can repair any type of disc, or Mac OS 9 or X. The only restriction is that the program will require Mac OS 10.2.1 or higher.
The new version is essentially the same as the previous one with the biggest improvement being speed. DiskWarrior 3 can review a disc with 60,000 archives in eight minutes. with its SMART technology SMART. Has anyone received word from Alsoft about their intentions with DiskWarrior?
