Felt Tip Software Releases Sound Studio 1.0


Felt Tip Software today announced the release of Felt Tip Sound Studio 1.0, its disk-based visual waveform audio file recording and editing application for the Mac OS.

Felt Tip Sound Studio lets you use your Mac OS computer for manysound-recording applications, such as live audio recording, digitizing tapesand records, and sampling from any analog source, and for editing AIFF audiofiles. It is disk-based, multi-threaded, able to record in the background,uses a two-view visual waveform editor, and includes filters for modifyingthe waveform.

Disk-based editing means that you are not limited by available RAM for thesize of the sound file. Multi-threading allows many simultaneous operationsto go on at once, and makes for a more responsive user interface. Thewaveform can be generated while you play back the file, apply a filter, oredit the audio.

Felt Tip Sound Studio is US$25 shareware. You can download it from the FeltTip Web site.
