High version numbers be damned, a new version of Google Chrome just hit and you might want to grab it.

Google Chrome, Google’s new web browser, just reached version 19.0.1084.46 for the Mac. The new version, a 38.6 megabyte download, offers the following changes:

– Adds the ability for tabs to be synced across multiple devices (feature will be rolling out over the coming weeks).

Google Chrome 19.0.1084.46 requires an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 or later to install and run.

If you’ve tried the new version and have any feedback to offer, please let us know in the comments.

Ever since this build was installed the CPU usage is going through the roof and the CPU temperature is ratcheting up. The cooling fan switches on and then when I exit Chrome after a short time the CPU temperature returns to normal.

I am having this same issue. It doesn’t appear to be any extensions causing the issue either. Did you figure anything out?

This update sucks. I am stuck at New Tab in Chrome Startup. I WANT MY HOMEPAGE BACK!

DONT FIX WAIT AINT BROKEN!!!!

I thought my Chrome homepage was hijacked for a minute!  I had to reset the homepage in Settings, On Startup –
Open a specific page or set of pages –  and I reset my homepage.
