- Built in digital camera (640 x 480 max. resolution). The lens is on the back of the unit (just below the top edge) and is covered with a slide-down shell (seems kind of clumsy to me).
- 16 MB RAM (13 usable). The original Zire has only 2 MB.
- Includes Palm OS 5.2.1.
- Texas Instruments OMAP processor (ARM) – no idea what speed.
- 320 x 320 color TFT screen (16 bit). The original Zire has a monochrome screen.
- Expansion slot for SD/MMC cards on the top edge. The original Zire lacks the SD/MMC expansion slot.
- Stereo speaker jack.
- 5-way navigation ultra-tiny joystick instead of the hat switch found on the Tungsten models.
These babies are on their way to stores now. I have no idea what the SRP is going to be.
