Apple predicted that they would fill all their then-current 300,000 backorders a month ago by this week, and from PowerPage reader reports, they seem to have been succesful. This month, we hear they have 500,000 backorders, probably due to the continuing high demand. Since Apple has been shipping many thousands of units each week, we can assume that they have gotten many new orders. iBooks and AirPort stuff were and still are heavily backordered, but the wait should now be no more than two weeks in the US. PowerBooks in the US have always been in good supply, barring the occasional once-in-a-decade sale, so you should have no difficulty getting a PowerBook.
