iOS 9.3.2 update bricks some 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablets, Apple exploring the issue

ipadpromini

iOS 9.3.2 has arrived.

And it appears to have bricked some 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablets in the process.

A number of users are seeing an “Error 56” message after upgrading to iOS 9.3.2, and finding their devices bricked.

The error instructs affected users to connect to iTunes, but doing so and attempting to restore or update the iPad doesn’t work.

Apple has issued a comment stating that the company is looking into the issue and has offered the following quote regarding the issue:

“We’re looking into a small number of reports that some iPad units are receiving an error when updating the software. Those unable to restore their device through iTunes should contact Apple support.”

Let us know if this has happened on your end in the comments and stay tuned for additional details as they become available.

Why can’t Apple get it right anymore? Gazillions in $$$ and they produce like startups! Cook should go!
