Key Lime iBook – End of Lined?


Macintosh distributor Ingram Micro only has about 50 key lime iBooks in inventory with no more forecast for delivery. In fact, the company is blowing out the remaining iBooks by offering a free 128 MB RAM module with each purchase.

An inventory blowout like this is usually the sign of a product being end-of-lifed (EOL) or discontinued, which is usually the sign that a replacement is in the wings. As we reported here on Wednesday, Apple is putting the finishing touches on Marble, the code name for the new iBook that is due some time in April or May 2001.
