Remember back in the OS 9 days, we all ran SpeedDoubler, and later, CopyDoubler, from Connectix? Those were good days, and whenever we had a large file copy to do, we knew that we could “super copy” it and just update the files that should be updated.
Incredibly, we’re two years into the OS X revolution and still lack this simple functionality we enjoyed back in 1995.
Why hasn’t a) Connectix b) Apple or c) some other smart person out there made a way to do this in OS X? I can’t believe that this area of the OS is completely hardwired and no hacks are possible. Here’s hoping that this problem will be addressed soon.
